Telugu films have always been stuck in the formula and the time has come to create a new formula. Puri Jagan teams up with Mahesh to create a new formula. The setting is same but Mafia is in Mumbai. The scale is all over India. The difference lies in the formula, there are no comedians, no tracks, and it’s a One Man Show with a racy screenplay and terrific dialogues. Puri known for his one liners in Pokiri is also known for his dialogues in movies like Neninthe. The concept and the character of the hero are delivered through some punch dialogues.

BusinessMan has got everything on the plate, it is like a buffet but none of the item scores big time. Music is good, photography and editing is slick but the problem lies with the story, though set in the underworld category it is a movie without logic, full of cinematic liberty. The love track is sidelined and even though the lines are terrific, since the setup for the love story is too trivial, the romantic track does not make a mark.
The biggest strength of Business Man is Mahesh. It is his show all the way. The introduction scene of Mahesh acting as ACP shows his angry young man image. His base, his body, his timing are perfect. But the audience get a over dose of Mahesh by the end of movie. It is very hard to find a frame without Mahesh. Kajal is cute as Chitra. Nazer comes up with power-packed performance as a righteous Commissioner. Brahmaji, Dharmavarapu and Shayaji are good. Swetha Bharadwaj  is perfect in the item number. Rest of the cast is supportive.
